Mobile OneCard Setup Guide

All Hunter students should get their Mobile OneCards now.
Faculty and staff can get theirs in 2025.

Step 1 of 4

Install the eAccounts App

Download Transact eAccounts App for Apple/iOS ↓

Configure the eAccounts App

Open Transact eAccounts. Swipe through the startup screen and tap Get Started. Search for "CUNY Hunter College" and tap on the matching entry when found.

Tap CUNY Hunter SSO.

Log in using your CUNYfirst credentials.

Tap on Enter OTP from device "friendly name". This "friendly name" is the name that you chose during the CUNYfirst MFA setup. Note: Do not select Remember Choice.

Open the Microsoft Authenticator app on your smartphone, tap on the "friendly name", copy the "one-time password code", enter it in the "Enter OTP from the registered phone" textbox and click the "Verify" button.

Submit your photo

Open Transact eAccounts and tap on Settings.

Tap Submit ID Photo.

Tap Get Started.

Make sure to take your photo:

  • Against a solid white background.
  • Centered, with a front view of your full face.
  • Cropped from just above the top of your head down to the collarbone.
  • With proper lighting, ensuring no shadows on your face.
  • With your eyes open and visible.
  • With a neutral expression or a smile.
  • Wearing prescription glasses if you normally wear them.

Note: Head coverings are permitted if worn daily for religious purposes. Your full face must be visible, and the covering must not obscure the hairline.

Do not submit a photo that includes:

  • You wearing hat, sunglasses, or anything that obscures your face.
  • Shadows on your face, glare on your glasses, or red-eye.
  • Other people or objects visible in the photo.
  • Props or hand gestures.
  • Inappropriate expressions.
  • Copyrighted images.

Add the Mobile ID to your digital wallet (Apple/iOS)

Tap "Add to Apple Wallet"

  • Tap iPhone and continue through the prompts (Next, Agree to Terms & Conditions).
  • When the process is complete, the app will send a notification to verify your Mobile ID has been added to Wallet.
  • Tap Done in the upper right corner to return to the Home screen of the app.

Tap "Add to Google Wallet"

  • Continue through the prompts (Next, Accept the Terms & Conditions).
  • Next, Accept the Google Wallet Terms of Service.
  • The next screen will confirm that the ID has been added to Google Wallet.

Tap "Add to Samsung Wallet"

  • Continue through the prompts (Next, Accept the Terms & Conditions).
  • Next, Accept the Samsung Wallet Terms of Service.
  • Continue through the prompts. Please note that it can take 30 seconds or more for the card to be added. Once your ID has been to Samsung Wallet, a confirmation screen will appear.

Congrats! The Wallet is enabled by default on Apple devices.

Download the digital wallet (Android)

Download Google Wallet from the Google Play Store ↓

Enable your digital wallet (Android)

Enable NFC on your phone in your Settings menu

  • NFC settings can be found in different areas of the Settings menu, depending on your device. A common location is Connected Devices>Connection Settings. (If not found there, use the Search option on the top right to double check.)
  • Toggle the NFC setting to "on"
  • Open Google Wallet and make sure it is enabled as the default payment application. If the app prompts you to add a credit card, you can bypass that screen and return to the Google Wallet home screen.

Enable your digital wallet (Samsung)

Ensure you have the latest version of Samsung Wallet:

  • Open the Samsung Wallet app.
  • Select Menu > Samsung Wallet settings > About Samsung Wallet.
  • Check the app version displayed on the screen.
  • Click the Update button, if it appears, to get the latest version of Samsung Wallet.
